Our Big Trip!

In August Brent had a rotation of nights; so instead of trying to keep 2 wild boys quiet during the days for 4 weeks so Daddy could sleep I braved the 9 1/2 hour drive alone with my 2 wild boys to go visit family. The boys were awesome! They were great travelers, I'm sure watching movies, fun toys, and yummy snacks may have helped a little.  We had a great 3 weeks visiting with everyone.

 We spent a lot of time playing outside, Jax wanted me to take pictures of every piece of grass he pulled out of Grandpa and Grandma's lawn.

 Jagger is able to entertain himself quite well.  He was suppose to be napping, but I heard him moving around more than normal when I opened the door I found this. He had taken the sheet off that mat in the pack'n'play and pulled it up and was playing around.

 We went to feed the ducks, they were pretty excited to see us they were walking right up to the car. Jax had a great time feeding them buttery popcorn.

 These two had so much fun playing with all the cars at Brent's parent's house.

 They like to think they are helping out, Jax loved the laundry basket on wheels and Jag is still in love with any trash can.

 We went on a lot of walks, the boys loved the water.

 We went with Aunt Holly and her girls to see Abby's school, all the kids really liked the drinking fountain, especially Jax, he cried when I told him we had to leave.

 We had lots of time at the park, Jax went down the "big" slide for the first time all by himself.  The first few times he would have me hold his hand as he went down then one time he said "No Mom! I do it myself!" and he did. He was also very good about sharing and made sure Jag had a turn every time before he would go down himself.

 Jax stole Grandma's hat, he loves to have accessories.

 Jax had a blast helping pick tomatoes and cucumbers.  I think he ate most of the tomatoes himself before they ever made it into the house.



We had such a fun trip and had a blast spending time with family.  The drive back was a long one but again the boys did awesome and we made it home just in time to see dad before he headed off to work for the night.  It was fun to get away but we are so happy to be back home and back to our normal routine and so happy that Brent is done with nights, at least for a few months.
