My little helper

Payton likes to help me out as much as he possibly can. When I'm cleaning around the house he likes to stare at me while he lounges in the sun. One of his favorite things is a good sun spot.

He also loves to help out with the dishes, he likes to take a more active roll with this task...

Don't worry I wash our dishes very well after Payton helps out. Doing dishes is Payton's favorite chore around the house but a close second is the laundry. He somehow always knows when I'm going to get the clothes out of the dryer and he comes running into the laundry room wagging his tail. He then follows me into the bedroom and makes himself right at home.

I'm really not sure why but he has always loved warm clothes right out of the dryer. He gets really upset at me as I put them away, and he tries harder to burrow deeper into the pile.

Cooling off!!!

The last few days it has been really hot here so we decided to try out our pool. It was a lot of fun and helped us to cool off. The water was freezing, once we got in it felt good.

Payton was having fun running around and exploring by the pool, but we figured he might like to cool off too. Plus we wanted to see if he could swim...

He is a really good swimmer but he didn't enjoy it as much as we had hoped. I helped him out after he made it to the edge and he ran as far away from us as he could.

Everyone here is VERY friendly!!!

The other night our neighbor Lily came to our back door. When we opened it see say hello she pushed her way passed us and headed straight for the kitchen. Payton seemed more upset then we were, this may be due to the fact that Lily helped herself to Payton's bowl of food. We thought that was a little forward but we guess that's how Lily was raised.

After she had a good look around the house it was time for her to go home.

Payton was glad to see her go.

Brent really is going to school.

Brent wanted everyone to see his books for just this semester. This is enough books for the thirty credits he is taking this semester. At this rate I think we may need to invest in a few more bookshelves.

We made it!!!

Well we made it here and so far we are loving it. Brent started orientation for school on the Monday and he likes it; his classes will start this Monday.

For those of you that have seen our Lovsac you know that is huge, so moving it was no easy take. This is the original bag that it came in, we have no hope of every getting back into this bag. Instead we had to vacuum pack it ourselves and then Brent got us a watermelon box to pack it into. After a long time of stuffing and vacuuming and taping this was our end result.

Then moving it, it was so big and awkward that it made it difficult to lift it so instead we found it easiest to simply roll it. Luckily we didn't have too many stairs to push it up. then the unpacking of the Lovsac it took Brent, both his parents, both of my parents and me to get it out of the box unfortunately that left no one to take a picture. But the finished product...

...One giant beanbag.
