My Artist

While I was working on cleaning the other day I asked Jaxon to keep himself busy coloring. He came to get me so I could take a look at his pictures.
This is a dark storm with a rainbow underneath.
Here is another big dark storm with rain and snow. I'm not quite sure why but that seems to be a very common theme in most of his drawings. After seeing these and needing a little more time to clean I asked him to draw a picture of our family.
Jagger on the left and Jaxon on the right.
Daddy on the left and mommy on the right. I asked if he could make sure and give me some hair. Then he informed me that this was "cranky mommy" I think we had been having a hard day.
Payton the dog.
And of course he couldn't forget baby brother.

Belly and Dr Appointments

This was from a couple weeks ago, I have started to hit the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy. My coat can no longer fit my belly inside of it and be zipped up at the same time, I wear shoes that I can slip on as much as possible so I can put them on and take them off unassisted, I have had heartburn pretty much nonstop everyday for the last few weeks(at least before that it was only a couple of times a day for the last 2-3 months), more and more contractions, and I am constantly being kicked/hit in the ribs and in the hip. I have had a continually craving for ice; Brent was awesome and went last Saturday night and picked up this for me; 10lbs of ice!
I have eaten my way through about 5 pounds in less than a week. I'm thinking we might need to go and get another bag possibly two or three.
Dr appointments are getting more challenging to wrestle both the boys so when we had to wait extra long at my last appointment I resorted to taking pictures of these two to help keep them quiet and to keep Jagger from running all over the waiting room.
My doctor was a bit concerned with baby boys size at my 26 week appointment. I had an ultrasound and she was guessing that he is going be a 9 1/2lb+ baby. So we are having another ultrasound in a few weeks so we can monitor his size. She had me worried for a while but after looking around and reading a lot I found that the weight they had for him at 26 weeks was actually quite normal. I'm excited to get to see him again and I guess we will see how big he has gotten.

Getting my hair done.

I don't know too many girls that don't like getting their hair done. I am one that would gladly let someone do my hair everyday if I could; especially when I have these two cuties fixing me up super cute! They used blocks as brushes and for accessories.

Playtime.

I really enjoy the ages the boys are right now. They like to get out and go places but they are also so content to just stay at home a play and entertain themselves for hours.
Jax got play duh and a huge jar of cookie cutters for Christmas that he has really enjoyed playing with.
He loves to "help" mom in the kitchen. Really he just takes things out of the drawer and runs around pretending to cook things for us. When I took this picture he said "mom I'm like a baker, no actually I'm like a chef!"
Playing in Jagger's room getting ready for pretend school.
Watching the snow fall.
We like to watch movies and shows and Jax loves to lounge on his moose.
I always love when they play together and have fun in their pretend worlds.

We Love Donuts

Last Saturday Brent was working all day and I didn't want to be stuck at home all day so the boys and I went out for some fun. We went to some of our favorite places. Jax loves Target and Shopko and Jag had been asking all week if we could go to Hobby Lobby so we went to all three. Then I felt like we should stop and get a treat so we made a trip to Krispy Kremes. The boys love donuts so they were in heaven not only eating their donuts but getting to watch them make them was so much fun; there were tears shed when it was time to leave.

Sunbeams

Jaxon had his first Sunday in Primary last week; I have a hard time believing that he is already old enough to be a Sunbeam. He was so excited and has been for a while. It was a bit of a challenge since I am in primary, he didn't want to sit in his chair (he was a little nervous because there were already a lot of kids and teachers there) so he helped me conduct for a bit. Then I was able to convince him to sit with his class and I sat with him for a bit during opening exercises. I was able to sneak away for singing and sharing time. He sat so quietly in his chair and did AWESOME until it was time for class. He has a hard time with change and new places/people. They came and got me to see if I could calm him down; poor boy was in tears and just really unsure of what was going on. One of our primary workers offered to help out and walked him around to "look" for dad and when they couldn't find him they made their way back to class where he did just fine and had a great time coloring a picture. I'm thinking it will take him a while to adjust but he says he loves primary and is so excited to be there.

Christmas 2013.

We started our Christmas festivities on the Friday before Christmas with a visit from Santa at our ward Christmas dinner. Jaxon was his usual nervous self and agreed that Santa is awesome but he would not be sitting on his lap, but he would stand next to him as long as mom was right there with him. We did get a picture taken but I'm still waiting to get it. Jagger on the other hand was SO excited we had to hold him back while we were waiting for our turn; then when we told him it was his turn he ran right up and climbed on Santa's lap. He even cried when it was time to say goodbye.

Monday before Christmas we decorated candy Christmas trees.
The boys really had fun with them this year. Jax decorated his all by himself! Jag got part way done and then realized that eating the frosting and candy was way more fun.
Christmas Eve the boys opened up there new pjs; this was the best picture I could get.
This year Jaxon was really excited for Santa to come and bring gifts and fill our stockings; he would ask me almost every morning all month long if Santa had come and put stuff in our socks. Christmas morning was very exciting; the boys loved opening their gifts and of course loved eating some treats after a good breakfast.
After a fun morning we spent the rest of our day just relaxing and enjoying having daddy home with us for the day.
