Sunbeams

Jaxon had his first Sunday in Primary last week; I have a hard time believing that he is already old enough to be a Sunbeam. He was so excited and has been for a while. It was a bit of a challenge since I am in primary, he didn't want to sit in his chair (he was a little nervous because there were already a lot of kids and teachers there) so he helped me conduct for a bit. Then I was able to convince him to sit with his class and I sat with him for a bit during opening exercises. I was able to sneak away for singing and sharing time. He sat so quietly in his chair and did AWESOME until it was time for class. He has a hard time with change and new places/people. They came and got me to see if I could calm him down; poor boy was in tears and just really unsure of what was going on. One of our primary workers offered to help out and walked him around to "look" for dad and when they couldn't find him they made their way back to class where he did just fine and had a great time coloring a picture. I'm thinking it will take him a while to adjust but he says he loves primary and is so excited to be there.
