We had a nice low key party for Jagger. After dinner we had his cake for him to destroy and cupcakes for the rest of us. I made a monster cake for Jaxon's 1st birthday so Brent and I decided that we would make it a tradition for all of our kids' 1st birthdays.
He was pretty excited for his cake. Jax was excited to help blow out the candle.
Then we let him at it.
He liked the marshmallow eyes, and after chewing on them a bit he would throw them down for Payton to eat.
Diving right in.
Of course Payton stuck close by and helped himself to some of what was dropped on the ground.
It was fun to have Jagger so excited to eat his cake and make a little mess, it was the complete opposite of Jax. After a quick bath it was time for gifts. Jax was excited to get all the toys unwrapped so he could "help" play with them.
As you can see Jagger is busy playing while Jax unwrapped all his presents for him.
He liked this new car so much it went to bed with him that night and ate breakfast with him in the morning.
Jagger really likes cars, so he got a race track from his grandparents and cars from the rest of us. For the last month or so he has been playing with cars for long periods of time and will drive them all over the house making car noises as he goes. Jagger is so much fun, he has such a great personality. He is my independent boy, the opposite of Jax. He can now go up and down stairs on his own and is so happy to have free reign of the house. He will go play by himself in the playroom even if the lights are off. He doesn't like to feel like he is being left out. If he sees Jax doing something he wants to be doing it too. He is a great eater and an awesome sleeper. He has started to sing when he hears Jax singing. He loves Payton and just about any time we are eating he will call Payton, by making kissy noises. He waves to people wherever we go but it is usually after we have passed them. He climbs on everything. Walking great and starting to try and run. Loves things that I wish he didn't, like the toilet; we have to watch him close. He has 5 teeth and 2 more slowly making their way in, I'm guessing it will be at least another month before they actually cut through, they have been just under his gums for a month now. We all love this wild boy so much. We go to the doctor this week so we will see just how big he is.
